Our programmes of learning are designed specifically with social inclusion in mind. This means that each course will not only provide learners with the practical skills to attain employment but also the life skills to maintain it.

The Furniture Craft and Life Skills course is an ideal opportunity for anybody interested in Wood Occupations. Trainees are be able to develop their skills in general wood working through the manufacture of furniture. This will enable them to become confident in the use of tools and machinery common to the industry, understand the problems and pleasures of working with wood and also get a taste of working life all within a supportive environment.

Courses are available in various lengths and can be tailor made to fit with referrers requirements or individual learner needs. Standard courses can be offered from 18 days to 72 days covering the listed OCN accredited units. Potential learners are recommended to attend a free taster day to experience what Aspire has to offer and learn some essential skills required for work in wood occupations.
